tennis & pickleball camps

Encouraging lifelong physical activity is a priority for PATH, and tennis is a perfect sport to begin young and play for a lifetime. Toe River Racqueteers Summer Camp is our FREE Tennis Camp that is held every summer in Yancey county. PATH sponsors the tennis camp, enabling kids to register for free. Additionally, our “need a racquet get a racquet” program assures every player can have a racquet to take home.

Specialized equipment is provided for the youngest players, including smaller and lighter rackets, a smaller court size, and slower and lower bouncing balls that helped elevate the level of fun and success.  Many of the assistant coach volunteers are former camper participants. The program was developed and is supervised by USPTA Master Professional and Founder of Tennis Insights, Michael Baldwin, Sr.
