Cougar Fit Club
Cougar Fit Club is a free afterschool experience designed for students who want to have fun, try new things, make connections, and learn healthy ways to handle life as a high schooler. You don’t have to be an athlete, or be “super fit”, have to have it all figured out to join Cougar Fit Club. You just have to show up!
Cougar Fit Club is WAY more than working out! What Do We Actually Do?
- Try new physical activities (like Latin dance, Pilates, Juggling)
- Talk about stress, mental wellness & healthy choices
- Eat fun/healthy snacks
- Play games and take on challenges
- Build friendships and teamwork
- Get out into the community
- Go on fun field trips (like Mini golf, Roller skating, Hiking, Cooking & grocery shopping)
- Have real conversations without judgment
Students taking part in the program will receive a free healthy snack, free transportation, and a free membership to the Fitness Center during the school year as long as they remain an active member in the club.
Cougar Fit Club is a partnership between Mountain Heritage High School and Partners Aligned Toward Health (PATH). Mountain Heritage High School and PATH staff coordinate, lead and participate in every session with the students. Funding for this program is made available through PATH, so this opportunity is free of charge to all participants.
