There have been a few big changes at Partners Aligned Toward Health.
Donna Sink
Healthy Lifestyles Program Coordinator
Donna Sink joins us as the new Healthy Lifestyles Program Coordinator after spending the past 16 years teaching Spanish and ESL in the Yancey County School District. She spent most of her time working at Mountain Heritage High School as a Spanish teacher but also took the time to coach sports like cross-country. As a lifelong resident of Yancey County, her deep roots in the community mean she’s already hit the ground running, working the BFF 5K and Toe River Racqueteers Tennis Camp which she will help organize next year.
Molly McCabe
Associate Director and Chief Financial Officer
Molly McCabe, PATH’s Associate Director and Chief Financial Officer of six years, is moving on to work for SAGE, a national non-profit that focuses on advocacy and services for LGBTQ+ elders in a grant management role. Molly has been a passionate, talented, and very hardworking part of the PATH team, keeping both PATH’s financials and the entire office running smoothly and efficiently. PATH wouldn’t be the organization it is today without Molly’s ability to tackle a variety of challenges with grace, organization, and perseverance. We’ll miss having Molly’s positive personality and extensive knowledge at the office but can’t wait to see what she does next!
Lila Sheon
Healthy Lifestyles Intern
Lila Sheon, the Healthy Lifestyles Intern, wrapped up her tenure on August 5th and is moving on to a new internship at Mountain Community Health Partnership. She’s finishing up her Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University and also preparing for her upcoming wedding this Fall. Lila has been an essential part of the PATH team assisting with a huge variety of programs including Cougar Fit Club, Community Ambassador Real Equality (CARE Team), the Summer Food Program, BFF 5k, and she helped coordinate the Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Lila has done an incredible amount of work in the year she’s been here and definitely left her mark on PATH.
